Sveiki!

As some of my MFA colleagues know, I have been planning a two week trip to Lithuania with my mother and two sisters. A few of you may remember critiquing a piece, "In Search of Frank Zappa's Head" during one of the semester evening workshops. This is a trip of a lifetime as my family's nationality is Lithuanian on both sides and we hope to meet relatives that my mother has written to but never met or spoken with during her 87 years. Needless to say we anticipate quite an adventure - and I hope for lots of writing and photography to come out of these travels.

Tomorrow is the big day we take off. I invite you to follow our adventures by visiting my blog, The Eclectic Writer, during the next couple of weeks. I hope to update frequently with narrative and pictures.

I look forward to seeing many of you, and meeting the new students, during the residency!

Anne

Hey Anne

I did not know you were Lithuanian...so am I! I can't wait to hear about your trip. I've been planning one for ages myself, and may one day do it too.

Safe travels--
