Amazon Breakthrough Novel Award
You fiction writers who have a substantial manuscript might be interested in this. One of our students last year, Kirsten Genthner, went quite far in the process last year.
I would like to encourage anyone who is considering the contest to take a shot at it. For me, the most beneficial part of the process was the review (of the ENTIRE manuscript, not just the excerpt all other readers reviewed) of the novel. It was thorough and informative. Showed me some of my strengths and weaknesses.
