The Visitor

Me again. Just a note to say that I saw the film, "The Visitor" and highly recommend it. Without going into description, it's simply one of the most striking and beautiful movies I can remember seeing. For any screenplay writers -- this is a good one to study. And, I think, many people associated with this blog will find something personal to relate to in this amazing film.
Best Wishes,

Don,
Finally joined Netflix as winter loomed ahead and nothing in the movie theatres was appealing. One of the first movies we saw - just last week - "The Visitor." I loved the way it was put together -the unfolding of a person as he allows himself to be involved with others. Definitely the type of movie that stays with me for awhile. I totally agree with you.

One from a few years back that I thought was of the same caliber -"The Namesake." Did you see it? Just as good as the book, which isn't often the case.

Kathy,
Yeah, glad to hear you liked it. "Allows himself to be involved with others" -- such a good way of putting it; such a perfect themetic statement for these days as America pries itself out of eight years sitting in the dark of isolationism.
