Web Editor/Preditor ($40-45K)

WRNN-TV in Rye Brook, NY is looking for a Web Editor/Preditor to work within a team maintaining and enhancing a 24/7 breaking news website. Responsibilities include posting video clips, updating social media accounts and managing user generated content. The successful candidate will have a strong interest in local news, be able to keep up with evolving web technologies, prioritize multiple tasks and troubleshoot problems.

Requirements:

• College degree or previous experience working in an online news environment

• Working knowledge of Final Cut Pro or other video editing system

• Excellent news judgment

• Good writing and copy editing skills

• Experience writing code in HTML and CSS

• Experience using social networking tools, especially Twitter and Facebook

• Able and willing to work shifts on nights, weekends and holidays
